Kemba Charleston Federal Credit Union was organized in 1935 and received its Federal Charter Organization Certificate on January 16, 1936. We have the distinction of being the first federally-chartered credit union in the state of West Virginia. Over the years we have grown to over $30,000,000.00 in assets, with more than 4700 members.

When you become a credit union member, you become one of its owners. You help elect the officers and you are eligible to serve the membership as a volunteer. You can play an active role in guiding the credit union.
It’s easy to join the credit union. All you need to do is complete a membership account application card, submit copies of required identification (as defined by the USA Patriot Act), and deposit a minimum of $5.00 in a primary share account. This entitles you to the many products and services offered by Kemba Charleston Federal Credit Union.
